BROOKLYN is a 16hh skewbald mare, 17 years old and has been with us all her life, her mother was bred to Point to Point and her father was an Irish Piebald Cob called Seamus. She is a very experienced ride and drive horse having spent her earlier years competing at cross country, dressage and hunting in addition to driving. She is also an experienced Driving Trials Horse and has had much success in the show ring over the last 8 years.

ROBBIE  is a 11 year old 16.1hh Skewbald Dutch Warmblood gelding who is an experienced pairs and team horse. Robbie combined his wedding duties with show ring appearances where possible in 2009.

Manhattan, (Hattie) the 6 year old daughter of Brooklyn has spent 2009 continuing her training and is now being used for weddings  and events. She has competed in the show ring in 2009 with great success.

March 2010.

The start of the 2010 season is approaching fast. After a very cold and hard few months the weather looks to be improving. It does not seem 5 minutes since we turned Manhattan away at the end of a busy summer for a well earned rest. She has now been back in work since the end of January and is progressing well. She will be carrying out most of the show schedule for 2010.

Brooklyn is still at her winter home but being ridden regularly. She partnered Robbie for the Victorian Christmas fair in Malton in December and their carriage rides around the town proved very popular. Brooklyn will return to us at the end of April for wedding duties and the occasional driving trials and pleasure drives.

Robbie remained in work until he completed his Christmas duties and a New Year wedding. Since then due to the weather conditions and the return of Manhattan into work he has been taking it slightly easier and he is now returning to full work refreshed and exuberant! For 2010 we will be giving Robbie a try in the outdoor driving trials, he completed 3 indoors trials before Christmas with a 2nd and 2 3rds (at high speed) with 1 more to go in March.
Robbie and Manhattan will be tuning up for the coming season by participating in the annual sponsored harness drive at Escrick park on March 28th. Help for Heroes is the chosen benefactor this year so all sponsorship gratefully received.

We look forward to the season ahead in some new venues and some well known to us.
